Who we are

JELOVAC (pronounced: jɛ-lɔ-ʋa-ts or ЈЕЛОВАЦ in Cyrillic) CAPITAL has been a dedicated value investor since 2008.

We invest in businesses that have global or regional potential. We look at both early-stage “seed” investments, and later-stage “growth” investments. Usually we take minority stakes in businesses to keep the entrepreneurs and staff working in the company motivated with enough equity upside so that everyone prospers on a successful exit (if that is the ultimate outcome).

We have a smart, experienced and hard working team that has created value in a number of businesses. Our deep understanding of value investing has enabled us to make strategic investments and to create value in various businesses in sectors including ITC, Global licensing and merchandising, Manufacturing (yes, people can and still do make things) and Food & Beverage.

What we look for

1. Startups and established companies with EXCEPTIONAL PEOPLE, PRODUCTS, SERVICES AND IDEAS. No matter how good an idea, if the team is not capable of executing it then most likely the investment will be a failure.
2. Ideas, products and services that are easily scalable and that can GROW in a regional or global market.
3. Businesses where we can CREATE VALUE and help the company accelerate their business plan while avoiding common mistakes.
4. Businesses that have some PROOF OF CONCEPT (e.g. at the working prototype stage). While we can see the potential of ideas on paper, we like to see a level of implementation completed so we know the team has the ability to execute the idea and has the ability to get to the next stage and beyond. It also allows us to better assess the foreseeable risks and expected returns.
